The 37412 Locomotive Preservation Society was founded at YAHOO GROUPS by Giles in April 2002.

Our aim is to purchase a BR Class 37/4 Diesel Locomotive for preservation purposes, in particular the one known as 37412 “Driver John Elliott” from EWS.

Eventually, we hope to restore it...... which by the sounds of reports last week (end of July / beginning of August 2002), requires rebuilding one nose end after a “shunting mishap” at Cardiff Canton depot.

But firstly, we need to buy the thing..... and to do that, we require a few more members than we do at present.
